Men's Walking Group

Cool, crisp morning - about zero degrees - but sunny.  A great day for a trip into Victoria to check out the new bridge.  We parked the cars at the Vic West Community Center in Banfield Park (bottom left) just off Craigflower Rd.  Down through the park, onto the Selkirk Trestle where we started a large clockwise loop as shown on the map.

Most of the derelict boats gone.

Onto the Selkirk Trestle.

Lots of scullers out practising their skills in various sizes of sculls.

A unique metal sculpture.

The birds obviously like this rock island.

Victoria is obviously in bloom.

This fence runs quite a distance down Government St.

Seen in passing - 1937 Chev.

The OLD and the NEW.

This small aircraft looked like it was following the angle of the bridge.

The seagulls are more comfortable in the company of
the phony owls.

A fuller view of the new bridge.

Harbour taxi terminal.

Had to check out the "take a bike ride" opportunity.

A spy in our midst.
Denis L. joins us for
lunch.

Market Square.

Lunch time!!

Checking the mechanics of the new bridge.

Looking back as we come off the bridge on
the Esquimalt side.

Point Hope Shipyard boat turntable.

"Get out of my space."

"Got my lunch."
