The weather held and actually got better as we walked today - even got quite warm.  Below are my map and photos.   --   DeNNis.

Parked at the Mill Bay Petrocan.  Walked down to Whiskey Point Beach and back through Mill Bay Park, through the wet, soggy field behind Beehive campground then back to the cars.  Another great Monday stroll.
Down the stairway to Whiskey Point Beach.

Panorama across to Mill Bay from Whiskey Point Beach.

Brentwood College from Whiskey Point.

Mill Bay Marina from Whiskey Point.

Mother Nature doing her spring rejuvenation work.

We are being watched by a seal!

We WERE being watched  --  dramatic exit!!

Back up the stairway - off to Mill Bay Park.

Lovely Rhodo at entrance to Whiskey Point access.

Mill Bay Park - -  Just making sure we won't get lost.

Hope this isn't too much weight for the lookout platform.

One more bridge to cross.

This week our walk was at Bright Angel Park. The park has many improvements and is quite family friendly with children's play areas, picnic tables , and some camping. While wobbling across the bridge we saw that the river was high and flowing very fast. The Fawn Lilies and a few other wild flowers were seen.We then went on for 3.5 Km on park trails. Thank you to our drivers. Next week we are on the Trans Canada Trail starting at the McGee Creek sign. Meet at the Legion at 10 am. VM

My offerings from todays pleasant Langford Lake stroll.  Everything good as usual - weather, company and delicious lunch plus lots of photo ops.  Couldn't get any better.  -- DeNNis.

Parked on Goldstream Ave just off Hwy 1 (top left).  Follow the usual YellowBrickRd counterclockwise.  Several small docks to stop and enjoy the views.

Entrance to Ed Nixon Trail, just across road from parking,
 which traverses Langford Lake.

Beautiful wide walkways make for pleasant walking.

Reflections.

One of several viewing stops.

Looking across the lake.

Unique fungi formation on small branch.

Many unique yards along lakefront.

Cormorant enjoying the water.

These guys looking pretty ducky, too.

Great kids play area.  The base (Blue and Blue-Gray area) is made of a rubber-cork
like material, resulting in a very cushiony landing if you should fall.

Another small lake front park area.

Much new development in the area - on the right is a YW/YMCA complex under construction.

YES - Spring has Sprung!!
