The walk at Bright Angel Park was short but interesting. The Fawn Lilies are out and other
flowers will follow in a week or so.The heavy rains and flooding uprooted a large tree
that blocked the path along the river. There is much debris on the banks now.
Our next walk on the 22nd. will be in the Cedar area and having lunch at the Wheat Sheaf.
Meet at the Legion at 10 a.m.  .......... V.M

We were up to Cougar Ridge on our walk, PRETTY BIG HILL AND BECAUSE OF THE FOG WE didn't see too much, some new houses. We then took a drive up Stubbings Rd and did some walking around the new sub-divided areas 5 to 20 acre lots, we could see the Hyway down below us, right by that straight stretch on top of the Malahat. Next week the. 22nd Mar., a local walk behind the Legion Ok?

Women's Walking

Our walk to the top of Stebbings road was real cool, like with blowing snow as in a blizzard !!
Talk about rosy cheeks and frozen fingers !! Very interesting though, with great rock formations, beautiful views, but very few new homes. They are large properties that seem quite remote, but perhaps only to some of us seniors. (note,I say some)
The next walk Monday the 15th.,we will be going to Bright Angel Park.We just may see some spring flowers.Meeting at the Legion at 10a.m. ...............
See you there ........ Vera M.
