Womens Walking Group

It has been an interesting year. We have seen many changes
in our local communities,we have also discovered new areas
and new trails.Our walks for 2012 have ended as we will not
walk Dec 24th which is Christmas Eve,or Dec 31st New
Years Eve.We will all be rested,energized,and looking
forward to our first walk in 2013 on monday morning
Jan 7th.See you at the Legion at 10am.   V.M.

Not too many photo ops due to wet slushy weather but here are a few from our Cobble Hill walk today.

Eight of us had a good walk from Kerry Park.No pictures
taken,but a beautifully decorated house was found on the way
home.See picture below. Next week will be a local walk
leaving from the Legion at 10 am.

You beat me to it Dennis in posting images from our walk but I'm thinking I'll post mine also. It was a great day for walking as was the picture taking and then we finished it all off nicely by having coffee at McDonalds.

yuetide Luncheon Bus trip to Naval base Esquimalt

 What a great trip to Naden on  the Bus, Sunny in the morning when we left, They again did a great job on the Turkey Dinner with all the trimming's. I just had to have 2 bowl's of the plum pudding with Rum sauce,Yum Yum. Its so nice to have those young men and women serving us and their palatines and hummer, They did a superb job. I'm sure we all enjoyed the whole thing, Next year make sure you get your name down early, Its to good a deal to miss if you haven't been on it. The Shawnigan Lake  School supplied the bus and driver & YSAG pays for the gas, about 30.00. Great deal all round Tks All.

Hi Photographers,

Next Tuesday December 4 is a photography meeting. I'm including with this notice a fractal that I created with a free downloable program. It really has nothing to do with photography but it is possible to make some very colorful, striking images. Included is one I just made.

Also, not a photography topic but I need to let you all know that with Mike's guidance I now have a pretty fast improved computer. It has 4 GB of memory and a new 500GB hard drive. A lot of old files were dumped or moved and there now is no file compression or indexing going on in the background. It's like a new machine!

Womens Walking Group

Nine walkers enjoyed a cool,crisp,invigorating,monday
morning.There was much frost in the shaded areas.We
explored a new trail which was a continuation of Campbell
road.Back to Cameron Taggart road and a walk through
the CVRD land.Lunch and service was good at the
Cobblestone.Thank you Marianne for getting all of us
back to the Legion.Next monday Dec 3rd. we will walk
the oceanside of Mill Bay road to the ferry.Timmies?

We almost had a full complement of walkers except for Wayne, 12 of us walked about 10 k . is that right Jim ?? Great weather, Too bad we missed out on the 75 cent coffee. But hy we had good hot coffee and good company what else could you ask for.. Next week we will check out Mill Springs Tks

Computer/Photography grp

Hello Computer people,

Next Tuesday on November 27, we will discuss computers.

Mike and I have spent some quality time on my computer to try to give it some more zip. It has been marginally successful but it was a lot of fun to dig into the innards both hardware and software. If Mike is willing I'm ready to have another go at it.

Also, I will mention a site that gives advice about on-line shopping. Details will be forthcoming on Tuesday.

In the meantime here are 2 attachments explaining all you need to know about computers.
