Womens Walking Group

This is an update for the walkers in the womens group. We have decided that most of us would like
to enjoy Canada Day and see some of the walkers in the parade. The July 1st. walk is cancelled.
We will walk Monday July 8th. meeting at the Legion at 9:30 am.

Men's walking group

Hi Gang
Monday the !st of July being Canada day We will not be walking< But the following Monday 8th  of July. We can plan on doing Cobble Hill and go for our Year wind up lunch at the Cobble Stone.So meet the usual time 8:30 am and we may not be back until 2 PM, Okay Tks

Womens Walking Group

Six walkers were able to miss the Monday morning monsoon and do 8.60 K. We walked
Wilkinson road to the highway, passed by a tepee, and explored around an interesting acre
property by invitation of Dianne. We noticed many young animals as we went by the farms.
We did not walk the quarry as planned as it would have been quite muddy. Next Monday
July 1st. is Canada Day and some of the walkers will be in the Canada Day Parade. If anyone
would like to do the usual walk, meet at the Legion at 9:30 am.   V.M.

Womens Walking Group

The walkers did about 5K through Briarwood, over a bridge behind Kerry Village,and back to
the park. We all enjoyed coffee,iced tea,and goodies outdoors on the patio at The Chippery
among many lovely flowers. Next Monday the 24th.we will be at the quarry.Meet at the
Legion at 9:30 am.    V.M.

Men's Walking Group

Six of us did a loop from the Legion around Sylvester, Mt. Baldy Rd, Gallant and back - 5 or 6 Km. Photo ops scarce. Here are a couple.

Eleven walkers did 9.3 K on the grounds of Shawnigan School and beyond ? A thank you to our
drivers,marianne and Wendy.Next Monday the 17th. we will walk at Briarwood and trails near by.
Meet at the Legion at 9:30am.  V.M.

Seven of us walked from Cobble Hill dog park up Thain Rd and back (about 7Km).  Lovely morning but no real photo ops.

Womens Walking Group

Twelve walkers enjoyed a beautiful Monday morning full of sunshine,fresh air,and conversation.
We did 7.4K to the Mill Bay ferry and back.Coffee outdoors at Rusticana was excellent.(chocolate
fudge-peanut butter mini muffins were good too. Next Monday the 10th.we will walk through the grounds of Shawnigan School.Meet at the Legion at 9:30am.  V.M.

Shawnigan Adventure Walk for Cowichan Caregivers
