YSAGS BBQ for Volunteers that helped with Garage Sale

Well, after the great success of organizing, setting up and clean up of our recent Garage Sale, we treated ourselves to a well deserved Barbeque. Thanks for the use of your yard Skip and once again Thanks Denis for spearheading the organizing of the very relaxing afternoon spent with freinds. Thanks to all the volunteers that provided great food. And last, Thanks Marg for providing a cake that this time did not come from Thriftys.

YSAGS Garage Sale Clean up

Our Garage Sale was a great success! This was due to the participation of a lot of YSAGS volunteers and the skillful organization provided by Denis(Thanks Denis!). Of course we could not have had the sale without all the donations from YSAGS and Legion members and from many community residents.

Here are some pictures of our clean up after the sale.

The books are gone. Boxes of clothing that didn't sell are  packed and ready to go to various community business such as Good Neighbors and Salvation Army and others. Many empty cardboard boxes are flattened for recycling.

The big tarp is folded up.

The electronics table items are waiting to go for recycling. With the rapid changes in items like tvs and printers, a unit just a few years old is obsolete and nobody buys them.

YSAGS/Legion Garage Sale Preparations

Many volunteers from YSAGS and the Legion worked very hard to prepare for the BIG Garage Sale planned for tomorrow. The number of items that have been donated for this is astounding. This of course means a lot of hard work to set up the tables, sort all the items and price each item.
