Men's Walking Group

The weather has warmed up a bit this week.  Seven of us did about a 7 Km walk today.  We drove up Renfrew Rd and parked at the Kinsol Trestle parking lot.  From there we walked to  the Kinsol Trestle where we proceeded up the Koksilah River and followed te trail back to the Cowichan Valley Trail.  The map and photos tell the rest of the story.  --  DeNNis.

Parked at Kinsole Trestle parking lot (right center).  To the trestle, across and down underneath to the trail alongside the Koksilah River.  Back to the Cowichan Valley trail and return to the cars.

Wild(?) life .

Across the trestle we go.

Looking downstream from the trestle.

Looking back across the trestle from the north end.

The informaation gazebo.

The gas pipeline crossing the Koksilah just upstream from the trestle.

One of two small bridges along the trail.

Mini waterfall just above this bridge.

Trilliums are in full bloom.

I think something is watching us.

Another watcher.

The second bridge.

A few damp spots on the trail.

An old culvert across the creek is showing signs of wear and
there is also a tree down here.

Skunk cabbage is also in bloom.

CVRD crew where we get back onto the Cowichan Valley trail.
Heading in to do some trail repairs.

Waiting for us in exactly the same
spot where we met him before.
