Men's Walking Group

Today a new walker, Mark, joined us.  So eleven of us set off for a destination Brook told us was one we did not know of.  We covered about 7 Km before ending up at Tim Hortons.  The new destination was Welch Road.  Map and photos below.  --  DeNNis.

Parked on Deloume Rd above Tim Hortons.  Headed up past what used to be Lions Cove, across the old Stone Bridge towards Kelsey School, behind Sunset Maples townhouses, along Horton Rd, down past Petrocan to Church Way where we went down Welch Rd to the beach.  Then past the Old Church Museum and Brentwood College finishing up at Tim Hortons for a well deserved coffee break.

Heading towards Lions Cove and the old Stone Bridge.

Found a good "fixer upper" bike on the way.

Shawnigan Creek below the old Stone Bridge.

The old Stone Bridge looking as good as ever.

Traffic coming out of Kelsey School.

Including a "Murder" of crows.

Kelsey School.

Notice the steam rising from the roofs due to the frost and
one degree temperature.  At least the sunshine had something
to do with it.

Looking up Hayden Rd off of Horton Rd.

Spotted these guys along Horton Road.

The Sweet Meadows Farm Stand on Church Way.

In a field on Church Way.

A very long (obviously expensive) fence on Welch Road.

A long stairway down to the beach at
the bottom of Welch Rd.

The view from the beach at the bottom of Welch Rd.

Some people heading to a warmer climate???

The old "Church-Museum" above the highway.

Shadows!!

We spotted something in the rocks beside the hydrant here.

Can you believe it????

Mill Bay Masonic Lodge.

The final stop for todays walk!
