Better late than never, they say. Ten of us had a leisurely walk around the Shawnigan area on Monday 13th. We covered about 7.5 to 8 Km. The Google Earth map gives a pretty good indication of where we walked.
We walked from the Legion following the blue trace in a kind of clockwise route with a few detours ending up at Old Mill Park and returned most of the way on the E&N tracks.
Antique Row? The treadle is obviously missing, but maybe it runs from a micro-chip???
A bit of colour in a pretty dry landscape.
Heading down Norbury St towards the lake.
Lots of wild sweet-pea plants alongside the railway tracks.
The old boat still looks pretty good even filled with dried out grass and whatever.
NICE GATE - BUT where is the fence????
Checking out the lake from Old Mill Park.
Back on track.
Even Morning Glory looks good in this heat wave.
