Hi,
Three hikers and one dog explored a new trail past the Burnt Bridge gate. Since our fearless leader wasn't paying attention we got on to a different path then intended and so it ended up being a longer distance and much tougher since it was a steep uphill climb.
We climbed for 2 hours and then came down in less then an hour and it was a great forest trail - wasn't it?
Here are some pictures.

OOPS! A whole pile of logs across the path. |

We got across the logs - but what now? We turned back shortly after this. There was a bit of snow in some places. |
