Men's Walking Group

A few drops of rain, but not enough to hold us back.  Eleven of us covered about 6 Km down through Manley Park and Satellite Pk Rd.  The tide was in enough so we didn't try the beach route.  Map and photos below.  --  DeNNis.

Parked the cars at the entrance to Manley Park below Arbutus Ridge.  Walked down to the beach, but the tide was in enough that we didn't try that route.  So back up to the Granfield trail where we did a clockwise loop around Aros Rd and Satellite Pk Rd and back to the cars.  We finished off our walk with coffee at the "Olde School Cafe".

The reservoir is just about empty.

Men's Walking Group

Lovely weather today - and that is no April Fools joke.  However, our planned walk to Split Rock did turn out to be just that.  Map and photos follow.  -- DeNNis.

Turns out, we were on the right trail even though we thought we blew it.  How we got lost is a mystery.  The dark blue trace is where we walked.  The smaller green trace is where we should have been.  We were on the right trail even though we didn't realize it. - just missed a turn somewhere.

We had to clear things with the Sherrif on
arrival at Providence Farm.

We thought this was the gate we were looking for.

Turns out, it was the right one.

were going the wrong way.

 

Back at Providence Farm - the riding stables.

Someone with better eyesight than myself spotted the Cross
at the top of Mt Tzouhalem.

Not bright and sunny but no rain in sight.  An okay day for a walk around the Quarry where we met quite a few dogs and their people..  Nine of us covered about 6 Km today.  Map and photos below.  --  Dennis

Parked the cars near the entrance to Burnham Park (bottom right) and did a counterclockwise loop around the Quarry.
