Womens Walking Group

Nine walkers did different trails around the quarry ending up at the water, which was lovely, clear,
and inviting. There were no swimmers except for two dogs racing to retrieve the same stick. We soon
saw (and heard) who the winner was. It was interesting hearing a dog growling loudly with water and a large stick in his mouth. Somewhat like bubble barks. At the other end of the quarry we saw two
young ladies camping in a tent with a Chihuahua. A guard dog for protection ? Coffee and goodies were enjoyed by all at the Chippery. Next Monday July 15th we will walk at Manley Park and
possibly have lunch at the Ridge Café. Meet at the Legion at 9:30 am.        V.M.
