I just realized I didn't put a report of our last walk, so here it goes.
It was good. That's it!!!!!!!ha Didn't see much in the way of Halloween but the weather was with us, and we did see the new wharf going in at Mill Bay, Next week we will decide Monday morning on our walk, We do plan for the 21 Nov a walk through Shawnigan school and have lunch at the Chippery in Shawnigan . Okay ? Tks

Womens Walking
A perfect day for a walk along the Cowichan Bay Estuary.Some beautiful fall
colours.We began at Maple Grove Park and did 6.5 Ks.Then went on to Cow
Bay Cafe for lunch where we saw some interesting carved pumpkins for Halloween.
Next monday Nov 7th.we will walk Stebbings road.Let us hope we don't see
what we saw last time we walked there. See you at the Legion at 10am. V.M.

Womens Walking
Thanks Joan for this weeks news on the monday walk, also for the pictures.
Nine walkers visited the McGee Creek Trestle and most carried on for a
total of 9 K return, quite pleased with themselves! Next week we will treat
ourselves to lunch at the Rock Cod Cafe after a Cowichan Bay walk.Meet
at the Legion at 10 am. with your lunch money.

Nine walkers enjoyed a perfect autumn walk around the Quarry.( or
part thereof in the case of a few dallyers) Next walk we plan to
travel further south along the Trans Canada Trail, hopefully to
McGee Creek. Meet at the Legion at 10 am with suggestions for
the walk and lunch out, the following week.

I hear you had a good walk up Butler Rd to the logged off area. But no mushrooms, EH
Anyway next week we plan on east Sooke with lunch at the 17 mile pub so same time and we will be back by 2pm ok? Tks

Men's walking group
Hi Gang
Well Bill, Larry & I walked behind the Legion, good walk no rain and we found some new trails. Then coffee at the Legion, next wk we will walk up on the west side of Shawnigan Butler rd, Maybe we will find some mushrooms . We plan east Sooke with lunch at the 17 mile on the 24th oct okay? C.U.

Womens Walking
Monday Sept 26 the rains came down ! The Cable Bay walk was cancelled
but the ladies DID go for a walk. Oct 3rd the walk was along the dikes of the
Cowichan River.Then a stop at Serious Coffee.Monday the 10th is Thanks-
giving so our next walk will be Oct 17th and we plan to walk at the Quarry.
A decision has been made to postpone the Photography/Computer class
till Ed returns from his vacation.This will give us plenty of time to complete
our summer assignment.May all enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving. V.M.

Well we did have a great hike out to Cable Bay , EH

I've got in my book the last time we went Cable Bay was 25 May 09 only that time we went to the Crow & Gate for lunch.
Next week [Thanks giving} we will walk behind the Legion and we are planning for another walk and lunch out on the 24 Oct, possibly to east Sooke and lunch at the 17 mile pub Ok?
