Womens Walking

Seven walked in different areas at the Cowichan River. We walked from the
service road bridge to Horseshoe Bend where we shared our lunches at the
camp site. Then on to a trail which crossed Riverbottom Road and led us to the
Trans-Canada Trail. We were all interested in the fish ladders knowing how
important they are in saving many fish allowing them to get to their destination
without having to go through the falls. On the way home through Sahtlam we
stopped at Sandy Pool park where we walked another trail to the river.
Next monday Aug 22nd.we will be at Burnt Bridge. Bring a lunch.Meet at
the Legion at 9:30 am.        V.M.
